Members of public, beware of anything that will take them to Rumudara Divisional Police station, around Rumuokoro axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
This police station specializes in high scale extortion, bribery, and human right violation with open impunity due to the support of their DPO.

On a day to day activities if you care to stay around the police station your sight will be greeted with open extortion of motorist through the use of force, if they argue with them the police guys will deflect their tyres and carry their battery, until they agree to pay them the amount they police guys are requesting for.

Then if you care to enter inside you will see open extortions by IPO's handling cases, even they ones at the banter are not left out of this corruption, you will see them extorting from one thousand naira and above from relations coming to see their relations unjustly encancerated in their cells.

Then these are the very least ones,if you go inside you will see the DPO or IPO demanding the sums of from ten thousand naira to two hundred naira from suspects that the want to grant bail, even after their investigation showed that the suspect was wrongly accused.

In this particular station if the suspects relations refuses to part with money requested and insisting that bail is free they will detain the person for more than 48hours without charging the person to court which is less than 40kilometer radius, and so very close to the station.
The IG or AIG should walk his talk by investigating this police station in Port Harcourt ,thus bringing those bad police eggs to book, becuse not all police personal is bad.

From an anonymous writer in Port Harcourt, please share till it gets to the AIG,only the public can sanitize our institutions.

Exposé Like This Carry More Weight When Specific Instances With Locations, Time, Date, Persons, Amounts Are Clearly Stated

Transferring The DPO Only Won't Change Much As Impunity & Corruption Seem To Have Been Ingrained In The Division.

Transferring Everyone Out Of The Division At A Go Is Impracticable. Transferring In Batches Won't Achieve Desired Results Either As The New People Will Be Indoctrinated By The Old Hands

However, If About 10 Are Made Scapegoats, Others Will Take Dressing.

Not only the police, the soldiers in Abia state has turn almost the checking points to toll fees point.

In broad day light they collect from buses #100.per trip ,not talking of trucks, trailers etc.
Let's do the calculation ....a bus is #100.per trip and most buses cover up to seven trips per a day and more than over 500 buses ply that army check points daily?
Which local government in abia state dare make such huge income?
