The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, has appointed the former Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, as the new Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command. New Benue CP, Fatai Owoseni Owoseni, will replace Bashir Makama as the new CP in the state. Recall that Owoseni was replaced as the Lagos CP by the current Lagos Police Boss, Imohimi Edgal, in September last year. However, the appointment and deployment of Owoseni to Benue may be unconnected with the recent attacks by herdsmen in the state.
