The wickedness going on in the land is broadly our choices on how we respond to the current economic hardship.

Convenient to choose to identify whom to blame, and you may be right that most fingers (if not all) currently point to our leaders.

For a second, let us remind ourselves that these leaders are not affected by the vast hazards our choices have created: cheating; giving undue favour/preference; substandard & repackaging of expired products; ethnic/tribal tussle; traffic robberies; pickpocketing etc.

Talking down (insulting and blaming) our leaders is sure not the way out.

Can we with tears in our hearts, painfully choose to deliberately ignore the potency of affluence in our local communities, state and country.

Can we attempt to quench the flames fueled by these choices, where it is the most affluent that is considered to have the brightest ideas in our homes / social & religious gatherings etc?

If we succeed, wouldn’t you agree there will be less value for senseless acquisitions & stashing of wealth?

Our family units, social groups and religious institutions should reinforce teachings on how to respond in tough economic times.
