In democracy the masses have the ultimate power, those in power are answerable to the masses

You put them there, if those in power does something in their best interest only. . . Protest against it, if what they did is in the interest of masses and the country or city or town, rally for it.

The masses should not always sit down and look as if they are powerless when they have all the power.

Democracy is commonly defined as Government OF the People BY the people FOR the people.

In Africa we forget that whatever Government we have CAN be devised BY the people.

It doesn't have to be a Westminster style parliament or a Federal Presidential style. One only copy and pastes what works for one if not failure is guaranteed.

Definition is not the problem, but the practical, we are in neo colonial era, we have failed to move on from our slavery mentality.
