The University of Ilorin has now banned female students from leaving their hair unpacked or using hair extensions. This revised dress code was shared by a social media user recently.

The higher institution is known for its strong stance against indecent dressing but with this new decree released on January 22, 2018, it seems to have gone above board, considering the fact that it is a federal institution and not a faith-based institution.

Male students have also been warned to avoid some haircut styles and knickers.

Previously, heavy make-up and hair extensions in colours blue, green, white, yello, red, purple and pink were banned.
