Following Monday’s successful swap deal between Manchester United and Arsenal for Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. We can’t help but wonder who the top earners in the English premier league currently are with the wage structure changes for both players.

Here are the current top earners in the EPL

#10 Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Arsenal)

The Armenian is now the highest paid player at Arsenal with the completion of his transfer from Manchester United. He signed a three-and-a-half year deal and now earns £200,000 per week.

#9 Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

The diminutive attacker has contributed to two premier league title winning campaigns for Chelsea and has recently voiced his opinion about his ability to take a centre forward rolefor the Blues. The 27-year-old earns £200,000 per week. His current deal expires in 2020 and he has been severally linked to Real Madrid.

#8 David De Gea (Manchester United)

27-year-old David de Gea has been one of the most influential players for Manchester United for the last few years. The goalkeeper has kept 14 clean-sheets and has made 80 saves in 24 appearances for the Red Devils this season. He is the highest paid goalkeeper in England and he earns £200,000 per week.

#7 Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United)

The Swedish star carried Manchester United through the majority of the 2016/17 season with his goals. He has however spent most of the current season injured. He earns £220,000 per week.

#6 Yaya Toure (Manchester City)

Although Toure is no longer a first choice player for City, manager Pep Guardiola has decided to keep him for his experience and to provide squad depth. City lead the rest of the premier league by twelve points and are still in contention for every other cup competition. 34-year-old Toure might be well past his best but he is still capable of keeping the ball moving which is key to Guardiola’s philosophy. Toure earns £220,000 per week.

#5 Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

The goal poaching Argentinian, who became City’s highest goalscorer this season signed his current deal in the summer of 2014. It was worth a reported £220,000 per week.

#4 Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United)

Manchester United did not only pay a Premier League record £75m – plus a potential further £15m in add-ons – for the striker last summer, but also agreed to pay him £250,000 per week. The striker has scored 11 goals and created 5 assists for United in the league.

#3 Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

The Belgian signed a new five year deal with Manchester City to extend his contract to 2023 on Monday. De Bruyne joined City from the German club Wolfsburg in 2015. He has contributed 10 assists and 6 goals to Manchester City’s premier league campaign. He now earns £250,000 per week.

#2 Paul Pogba (Manchester United)

Following the signing of Alexis Sanchez, it has been reported that Paul Pogba is seeking a renewed contract as the £290,000 per week he currently earns now begins to appear short of his status. United brought back the French midfielder from Juventus for a club record £89.3m deal in 2016.

#1 Alexis Sanchez (Manchester United)

Alexis Sanchez is now the highest-paid footballer in the Premier League, following his move from Arsenal to Manchester United. United paid £35million for Sanchez — a £20m transfer fee to Arsenal and £15m to the player’s agent, Fernando Felicevich. He now reportedly earns a whooping £350,000 a week at United over a four-and-a-half-year contract, Sanchez’s pay will rise to £450,000 when his image rights are added in, and £600,000 with bonuses.
