According to reports in Spain,Arsenal have made a £35million bid for Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.

The Gunners will be looking to booster their attack with a top quality attacker after the departure of Alexis Sanchez to rivals Manchester united.

The emirates stadium outfit,who have already acquired the services of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a swap deal that saw Sanchez go the otherway,is also said to be closing on Borussia Dortmund’s star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

This is not the first time that the French Man have been linked with Arsene Wenger’s side,with the report claiming the gunners have now tabled a bid of £35million.

Reals coach,Zinedine Zidane opted not to sell the 30-year-old in the summer,however considering his poor form and injury worries,Los Blancos may consider offloading him in this window.

He has netted just five times in 21 appearances for the La liga champions with only two of those coming in the league.

The France international would also be a suitable replacement for Olivier Giroud who is potentially heading to Dortmund as part of the Aubameyang negotiations.

Wenger,when asked about the deal involving both playing players said: “Look, the negotiations are not as far as that.

You never know how close they are. These are the kind of things that, at the moment, are one of the possible movements.

“We have other things in mind as well and we have plenty of opportunities in different positions.

“The final decision is not made.”
