Manchester city Midfield marshal Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that the team will continue to do what they know how to do best with or without Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester United landed the striker from Arsenal this week despite City being in pole position to sign him from last summer up until this January when City pulled because of excessive wage demand.

But Belgium ace De Bruyne, said he is not bothered by Jose Mourinho’s supposed coup.

Earlier this month the City star admitted Sanchez: “will add something to the team” if he joined Pep Guardiola’s side.

However, the former Chelsea player made a u-turn when questioned about City’s Sanchez move, he said: “I didn’t even hear anything. The board is busy with that.

“It doesn’t matter, we will still do what we need to do, with or without him.


“He chose United. Okay, there are a lot of good players. If they want to come, they want to come, and otherwise we will do it with our team.”

The 26-year-old midfielder signed a two-year extension on Monday – the same day Sanchez joined United, says City are setting the standards this season.

He said: “The level we are playing for the moment is very high.”


Pep Guardiola’s side tops the Premier league table with a 12 lead on Manchester united, and will host Alan Pardew’s men at the Etihad on Wednesday.
