Qatar conducts “advanced” negotiations for the purchase of Russian-made S-400 anti-aircraft missiles. Qatar, like its Gulf neighbors, is a big buyer of arms. And this type of announcement has been particularly prominent since the beginning of the crisis between Qatar and four other countries in the region.

On June 5, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt suddenly broke ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting “terrorist“ movements in the region and being too close to Iran.
