Earlier this week, Starboy broke the internet, after he posed with his $1.2 million diamond encrusted wristwatch. Reactions has been trailing the huge amount spent on procuring the expensive wrist watch. While some Nigerians hailed him for balling, others have criticized for being overly reckless, noting that he could have used such amount to change the lives of over 400 million Nigerians.

Leading the front among his critics is a social media commenter & blogger, Soledoye Oluwaseun, he said;

“Aii okay, Trying to go big boy on you niggas! $1.2 for you!

“Wizkid should have used the “over 400 million” to elevate about 400 unemployed Nigerians from poverty… By giving them 1 million naira each.

“Wizkid you for don use the N400m you used for wrist watch to help 400 unemployed youths startup real biz.”
