Asaba Flooding: DTSG Appeals To Asaba Residents Over Flood Control Interventions

An appeal has gone to Deltans to exercise patience with the State Government for the inconveniences being experienced with the construction of the stormwater control measures on Old Anwai and Nnebisi roads, as well as Amb Ralph Uwechue and DBS Roads that would commence soon.

Delta state commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye made this appeal following complaints of inconveniences by residents and road users on the axes where the construction is been carried out.

Chief Augoye maintained that the State Government is committed to eradicating the menace of incessant flooding in the states capital and its environs occasioned by rainstorms, pointing out that the inconveniences associated with construction jobs would soon be a thing of the past.

While emphasizing that the construction of the projects was for the ultimate benefit and good of Deltans, the Works commissioner called on the residents of the affected areas to continue to co-operate with the Governor Okowa led Administration in her giant strides in roads and drainage development in the state.

OYO OGUN LAGOS OSUN AND ABUJA BUILD OPEN DRAINAGE SYSTEM. EVEN PRIVATE HOUSES AND ESTATES BUILD OPEN DRAINAGE SYSTEMS THAT ALLOWS LARGE VOLUME OF FLOW OF WATER DURING HEAVY POUR OF RAINFALL.
