It appears the inspiration behind the YBNL boss, Olamide’s new releases is rather putting him in the black books of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), as he keeps putting out songs that can’t help but be banned by the NBC.

Just last week, a former Edo State gubernatorial candidate in the person of Pedro Obaseki, made a call for the immediate ban of the song, as he decried the lyrical content of the song. He stated that Olamide is a role model and will surely lead many youths astray with the song if its spread is not curtailed. It sounded like a joke until now.

The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has slammed a Not-To-Be-Broadcast (NTTB) warning on Olamide‘s latest hit “Science Student”. NBC’s Head of Public Affairs Hajia Maimuna Jihada said that the song was not out-rightly banned but prohibited from being played on local stations for public consumption. Speaking on the matter, she said;

“The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) does not ban music. Our mandate is what goes on Radio and TV. Olamide’s Science Student has been declared unfit for broadcast from now on. No radio or TV stations is to air it”.
