Workers in the employ of the Yobe State Government would have noticed a delay in receiving payment alerts for the month of January 2018.

While the State Government apologizes for the delay, the public is hereby informed that the delay is due to an ongoing software upgrade at the Ministry of Finance and migration to the Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NISS).

The measure will enable the Ministry of Finance, going forward, to pay workers’ salaries directly into their individual bank accounts.

The partnership with NISS will also make salary processing and payments seamless, faster, and more secure.

For the month of January 2018 therefore, any worker who notices any problems with their payments for the month should please contact the ministry of finance for a resolution of the problem.

The migration to NISS and relevant software upgrades will be completed soon, and salary payments will not only be normalized but will be enhanced and made faster.
