The Nigerian Army is following up its ongoing clearance operations of Sambisa forest by constructing road connecting heartland of the forest with adjoining towns.

This, the Army spokesman, Sani Usman said is as a result of the Force’s determined efforts to make the reclaimed stronghold of Boko Haram terrorists a habitable and also training ground.

“Already, work has commenced in earnest along Gwoza-Yamteke-Bitta road, as well as the reconstruction of the road from Gwoza-Yamteke-Bitta-Tokumbere, leading into Sambisa forest,” read a statement issued on Wednesday morning.
