The same Army never show up whenever the natives are besieged by Fulani herdsmen.

Now that the natives are beginning to protect themselves, the ethno-religious army arrives from nowhere and open fire on them.

Something doesn't add up here.

It can only go on for a short period of time.
Brace yourselves, people.

If you read but can't comprehend ask questions, there are lots of teachers without classroom on Nairaland willing to help.

What about the fulani herdsmen.,that murderous group, may be they're invincible.

Ha, Fulani herdsmen are under federal government special protection.

Benue people have been militant for decades fighting Jukun warriors, so if the Fulani thought Benue was an easy walk-over then they have another thing coming.

The north centrals have been able to decipher who their real enemies are.

Before the storyline have always been painted that the Igbos are the real problem of Nigeria. A country/Individual that doesn't learn from the past is doomed for failure, as much as Ojukwu is maligned, the ideals he fought for remains unfulfilled till today.

I can say unequivocally without fear or prejudice, the north is the biggest problem of this country, substract the north and see how the rest of naija would develop.

It is a bitter truth

You people like playing the victim card everyday, ba? The OP did not mention Igbo. It was a post about Benue-Nassarawa highway militia. But you had to insert Igbo inside the thread, in order to seek attention.... mtcheew!

Abeg go siddon.
Is that why millions of you Igbos refuse to leave the north including, Boko Haram infested Borno, in the height of all the bombings and executions, against their erosion ravaged and criminal riddled infertile red soil home - where many of them are afraid to return back - not even for Christmas.

@TOPIC:
FG should thoroughly investigate the crisis to get to the root cause of all the killings and mercilessly deal with those responsible, including their sponsors.

It is my conviction that by the time matter is fully investigated many would be surprised with those found wanting, including the state governor who has an army of armed militia with AK47 on N15K monthly salary (the army caught some of them who exposed the secret).

The recent clashes was ignited by harassment and extortion of the Fulani by armed guards trapped with thousands of their cattle trapped in Benue after the passing of the anti-grazing law in the State.

These armed guards along with local hoodlums were responsible for this latest round of the conflict; they became emboldened by the new law and started attacking and robbing the Fulani to expel them out of the state, who subsequently retaliated with reprisals - this is the part that governor Ortom (with his crocodile tears) and the Nigerian media (or more correctly, PDP media) would not want exposed to the public.
