A goal by Nigerian striker, Gabriel Okechukwu was the difference as Nigeria advanced to the final of CHAN 2018 with a 1-0 win over Sudan in Marrakech.

Sudan, who had dismissed Congo via penalty shootouts after scores stood at 1-1 in the last eight, were put to the sword by Salisu Yusuf’s men.

Yusuf’s side suffered a massive blow in the opening minutes of the game when captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa was substituted after ramming with Mohamed Hashim.

Nevertheless, substitute, Dele Ajiboye put off a great show – preventing the Sudanese forward line from wreaking havoc.

The Super Eagles dominated proceedings until they took the lead in the 17th minute, as Man of the Match Okechukwu controlled a flick from Anthony Okpotu before sliding past goalkeeper Akram El Hadi.
