Pandemonium As Diesel Tanker Nearly Falls Over.

There was heavy pandemonium and traffic along the lagos-ibadan expressway,Temidire bus-bustop,sango ota,on saturday as a fully loaded tanker carrying diesel had its shaft hit a gallop with the tank compartment twisting awkwardly and almost turning over.
The Movement news correspondent, david odiase, gathered from an eye witness who gave us his name as Afiso Temi, that the incident occurred at 11pm friday when the underside shaft of the tanker hit a gallop resulting in it almost turning over, residents and commuters quickly evacuated the area of flamables as well as vehicles and effort has been on up till 7am to bring the situation under control.

A policeman who preferred to remain anonymous, lamented the deplorable state of the road even up to Ifo. He also spoke on the lack-lustre effort of the Federal goverment and the policies with inhibit the state government from rehabilitating a federal road.

As at the time of compiling this report, traffic has been redirected as buses coming from toll gate are been directed to follow the Dalemo alternative route.
The diesel content of the affected tanker has been transferred to another tanker sent from the apapa dispense point.
The men of the nigerian police with the coroborated efforts of the Lagos state fire & safety service and civilians were on ground to curb the situation as the tanker is still been stabilized.
It is public knowledge that fuel and diesel tanker explosion have been the cause of accident fire casualities, but this recent happening has brought to a more visible lime light, the delorable of federal roads and their role in road accident casualities.
