Thank you for this statement. I don't get how Nigerians, including Government and Security Agencies don't get that those herding cattle around and murdering farmers in their way are criminal ex-Boko Haram, most of whom even rustled the cattle from actual Fulani Herdsmen.

Fulani herdsmen have always have issues with farmers when their cattle stray unto farmlands, and they get into fights which could end in one our two casualties. THEY DON'T RAID VILLAGES AND TOWNS AT NIGHT AND MURDER TENS OF VILLAGERS!!

Ganduje's solution could help if the genuine herdsmen start moving into such cattle reserves, then any other herdsmen sighted outside can be treated as terrorists. I hope they've prepared their cattle reserves with adequate irrigation and watering for the dry season though.
