Water crisis rock Calabar and its environs…..

The resident of first capital of Nigeria and the host of annual Christmas Carnival, Calabar city and its environment have in recent months thrown in disarray over lack of water supply from cross river state water board limited.

The Water Company was one of the brilliant legacies of former Governor of Cross river State Donald Duke. The board is saddle with the responsibilities of generating, distributing, metering and collections of water rates in the state. The water board has been managed efficiently over the year under the chairmanship of Senator Geshom Bassay, now senator representing southern senatorial district.

Between the tenure of Donald duke, and that of Lyle Imoke, the company has functioned optimally supplying water to every resident who can afford it, it important to note that it was affordable and accessible 2/4/7 hence every resident is metered.

This days resident can go months without a drop of water hence many resident now resort to bore hole, mee ruwa, and tanker supply to meet domestic and industry needs pattern very alien to them.

The resident call on the governor of cross river state, Prof. Ben Ayade to quickly interne in any circumstances that might have caused the sudden drought of water supply that has thrown the good people of cross river into hardship.
