Rihanna was born on the 20th day of February, 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados and raised in Bridgetown.

Rihanna had her first break at the young age of 15. Rihanna met producer Evan Rogers, while he was vacationing in Barbados. Rihanna and her two friends had formed a girl group and went to audition for Evan in his hotel room. When he saw Rihanna perform, he was completely blown away. He stated, “The minute Rihanna walked in, it was like the other two girls didn’t exist.” Evan saw a ton of potential in Rihanna and signed her to his Syndicated Rhythm Productions. She flew out to the U.S. and started recording her demos. In order to fully chase her dream and take advantage of this huge opportunity, she dropped out of high school to pursue her career as a recording artist.
