Obasanjo’s Statement: Gov. Okorocha Tells Buhari What To Do by 7Ebisco: 10:27pm On Feb 06, 2018
The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari on how to handle the statement on his (Buhari’s) administration by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Okorocha, while addressing reporters in Owerri, the Imo State capital yesterday, told the President to take a dignified stand by replying the statement personally.

The Governor pointed out that “remaining silent after the letter would amount to acquiescence.”

Obasanjo had written a lengthy strong-worded statement where he advised the President to perish the thoughts of returning to power in 2019.

Okorocha said “Answering the letter personally would put to rest all doubts and acrimonies it had attracted.

“The letter was written at a high level, which equally required a high level answer, the president’s response would enable those interested in the number one seat to take decision.”

The Governor further reiterated his position that he would not run if the president decides to have another shot.
