Nairalanders, I have been observing this thing is the family, some time aga when a lady is leaving her parent's house after marriage she will cry but nowadays its no more just few. Why?

thats advancement.the indroduction of boarding school,hostel, distance schooling etc are factors.

Cos they no longer have to sneak outta the house to get that vitamin D!ck you know what I'm saying?

That's revolution for u. They are even happy leaving their father's house, cos if they tarry there too long, people will call them names.

how do you expect ladies who now stays in their parents house uptil 30 or even 40 years to cry again when going to their husband's house? ladies that have been battling emotional and psychological stress of being sgutck in the house and an opportunity came and you talk of them crying...my brother no o.even wen parents or kinsmen hike the bride price, they will pack their stuff and follow the man....
we are no longer in the era wen 18 or 21 years latest are married. ..you can imagine that, they have not stayed much with their siblings or mum to gist, enjoy family life and they are going away to start a new family with another new man and family members at such age..certainly, they will cry...

when mama don trouble them to go marry, why them go cry?
