Nigerians have dug it out again, could this be another mess on Davido

The lyrics of the hit and trending DMW song, Mind, has resulted to a huge conversation about the hook of the song, which was taken by Davido, being a copy of Usher Raymond’s 2004 hit single, Caught Up.

The controversy causing line is the, “and I’m so caught up /You got me feeling it, caught up,” which has now become popular and appreciated until the attention of Nigerians were drawn to Usher’s 2004 hit single which seems to carry the original line that Davido has been accused of borrowing, or stole from.

Recall that:

DMW unleashed the song, Mind,January 31st, 2018 and it has Davido, Mayorkun, Dremo, Peruzzi vocals and the music production contribution of Fresh VDM. The song is fastly becoming a popular hit, receiving good amount of airplay but now that the issue of copied lyrics has been raised, we wait to see how Nigerians would react to the song.

This is nothing new.
Some of Nigeria's biggest act are in the bad habit of stealing lines, moves, etc...but it didn't matter much since it was a national thing.
But after being recognized internationally, they should have stopped to avoid being sued and embarrassed, embarrassing us in the process.
Maybe Davido will serve as an example/scapegoat because his own is getting too much...even in his song "Fall", he stole the line " don't wanna be a player no more".
You want to win international awards, yet you can't write original lyrics...
