It is called form action

first, write this on the page(code) where u want them to submit or login

<form action="second.php" method="post">
Name: <input type="text" name="fname" />
Age: <input type="text" name="age" />
<input type="submit" />
</form>

then on the second page were you want them to be redirected to , after clicking the submit button, write this code

Welcome <?php echo $_POST["fname"]; ?>!

You are <?php echo $_POST["age"]; ?> years old.

Note, the second.php is the name of the php file where u want them to be redirected to

the *action is the name of the file that will handle the processing of the form

the *method is the manner of transporting the data GET OR POST

GET=is used for send let's say values which aren't that large but it will display on the address bar so passwords and vital info can't be used with post and it has a limit in amount of data that can be sent.

POST=unlike GET doesn't display on the address bar and supports a large amount of value though there's more to when to use GET or POST

the *id and *name is the attributes that identifies an element specifically so when these are in a form it send them as variables e.g indeceny is the container/variable the value you type will be it's well value/content

<input type="submit" id="submit" name="submit">

now create a file "name_of_file_to_handle_action.php"

$indecency=$_REQUEST["indecency"];
$_REQUEST this will retrieve the variable 'indecency' from the form from either a POST or GET method

print $indecency; //this will print out the value
