To continue this long trend is to guarantee tremendous social cultural, political and economic upheavals,'' he further emphasized that ''The economic ills we suffer have come upon us over several decades. They will not go away in days, weeks, or months''
How is the situation presently! A recent report of the U. S Department of Housing and Urban Development stated, '' Increasing numbers of people are vulnerable to overburdened infrastructure, inadequate housing, and outmoded health system, In fact, the United Nations agency UN HABITAT projects that within three decades one of three people will live near total despair lacking sanitation and clean water, exposed to the imminent effects of climate change, fueling the spread of disease and possible pandemics.
