Omar Bashir had been indicted by the ICC for greater war crimes 10 years ago, has he been apprehended? No.

Have African leaders given him up since 2008? No.

All the half-witted fellows giving themselves hi-5's over this development clearly do not understand that where ICC's powers end is where Nigeria's rights as a sovereign nation begins.

Everyone knows the ICC , cannot take action.

But the findings of this investigations, will be the foundation of any international actions against the Nigerian govement.

Most countries and international organizations will use the findings of this investigations as the basis of dealing with Nigeria.

This is getting interesting. Nigeria will pull out of ICC. I doubt they will cooperate with court seeing how the government doesn't care about court ruling domestically. Only sanction by power nstions would change Nigeria's.

Let the zoo pull out from the committee of human nations when Dumboharis arrest warrant is issued. At least he will no longer be able to fly to london, EU and USA for medicals. Restricting his movement is progress toward victory against the dumb dictator.

If ICC can't hold Buhari and Buratai responsible for the cold murder of Shites and IPOB members or even arrest and restrict their movement's, then the should apologize and release Charles Taylor, and if possible pay damages to him.

U can't be so sure. What if an unfavorable govt takes over power and decides to hand over the perpetrators to the Hague. Nothing might happen to buhari, but he's cronies might not be shielded.

Sudan pulled out and the country was divided. Al Bashir can't travel to any nation he feels like lest he be bundled to the Hague.

There are consequences to pulling out of the ICC. Nigeria will become a pariah state. We do not have the clout of states like China, Israel, and the US that voted against the Rome treaty. At a time when we are trying to encourage FDI and foreign cooperation to bolster the economy, security, health and what not, pulling out will have irreparable damage.

Let the government sacrifice those people who carried out the killings by following the judicial inquiry set up and also obey the court orders. And then try to beg influential countries to pressure the ICC to drop the case. Else this would go very badly for the Buhari administration. Trust me, they don't want the bad publicity.

It wont happen. Those powers you speak of particularly the US and UK are string traditional allies of Nigeria. The US is and has always been well aware of Nigeria's human rights record yet they conduct high level military training exercises annually with ourselves and Senegal.

And by the way hope you know the US itself is not even party to the Rome Statute? That is to say they are not under the jurisdiction of the ICC.

Face the reality. Powerful connected nations like Nigeria cannot be touched by the ICC.

Human rights abuses, is one of the reasons the US gave for not selling Arms to the Nigerian govement.

Every other Country/Organization can site the ICC reports for thier reluctance in supporting Nigeria.

Just one sanction from EU or US will make you think twice.

Note: Nigeria still depends on the International community for everything.
