If we were to go by the prevailing news on social media at different points in the last 3 years, Mama Taraba would be governor of Taraba by now and Nnamdi Kanu and his minions would have prevented election from holding in Anambra, Donald Trump would have invaded Nigeria to excise Biafra (#LWKMD).

There are so many examples of sometimes stupid ideas gaining traction on social media which have no basis in reality.

So, for those learners calculating the future prospects of their preferred candidates on social media, I say wake up and start living in the real world.

In Nigeria the smarter, better armed and more financially buoyant candidate carries the day in election. The work of social media is simply to seek good public rating or to damage the public rating of your opponent. The final determinant is who controls the fire power or armed thugs as well as Electoral commision.

The same social media predicted the daura dullaard would win the 2015 elections. Now that social media has turned against the tyrant, his supporters are saying it's no longer reliable. grin

The 2019 presidential elections wound be won at the polling boots and not on social media because INEC does not count Twitter and Facebook votes.

Only 35% of Nigerians use social media, about 20% have political apathy.... Maybe only 15% indeed get involved. meanwhile, out of the remaining 65% offline Nigerians.. 45% are involved in the process.. the politicians focus on the 45% and win.

During the 2015 elections only 29 million Nigerians voted out of 65 million registered voters and an estimated 100 million Nigerians of voting age so your statistics can't be right but this time around, we will change the narrative.

I am sure your so-called project does need go beyond urban regions and a lot of the people you are targeting would rather:

1. Vote for party.

2. Sell their votes.

3. Play football.

4. Stay indoors.

You don't understand the dynamics at play.

They are hoping to use kids, Chadians and Nigeriens to rig the election, that is why they are saying you should disregard the social media. They used Kano local elections as a test run on how they would rig the election. To think that the same person saying this is supposedly enlightened says a lot about how far some Nigerians can go in their dishonesty. The only way Buhari will win is through massive rigging!! The worst thing that will happen to Nigeria is for Buhari to remain in aso Rock after 2019 because he has lost credibility in the eyes of Southerners, Christians and as well as the people of Middle belt. Nigeria risks a civil war if Buhari remains in power beyond 2019 because herdsmen terror will definitely worsen while he will continue to support them which will ultimately lead to a massive crises.

Buhari will definitely win and destroy Nigeria.

Again a lack of elementary analytical reasoning. People like you think elections are won on social media. Meanwhile, it is only a promotional tool, the real electoral victory comes from your ground game. In fact, keep making noise on social media, May God spare our lives to see the results of the 2019 elections.
