Roger Federer has revealed one thing he can’t wait to do when he decides to retire from tennis.


The Swiss star is competing at the Rotterdam Open this week where he could become the new world No 1 if he reaches the semi-finals.

If he manages to do that, the 36-year-old will become the oldest player in ATP Tour history to hold the top ranking, superseding Andre Agassi’s previous record of 33 years and 133 days old.

It follows on from his triumph at the Australian Open last month which saw him claim his 20th Grand Slam title.

And Federer shows no signs of stopping and could further add to his achievements this season with many of his rivals, including Rafael Nadal, struggling with fitness issues.

The world No 2 has faced constant questions regarding when he plans to retire, to which he has suggested he has many years left in the sport.

However, Federer admits there is one thing he is looking forward to the most once he decides to call it a day.
