Job Title: User Experience Researcher

Location: Lagos

Duration: 6 months

Minimum Requirements:
- MA, MS, or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, UX, Computer Science, Information Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of multiple different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
- A desire to move quickly and innovate on the way we do research.
- Knowledge of data analysis/statistics for analyzing survey and/or behavioral data.
- Experience collaborating with user researchers, PMs, and engineers.
- Some hands-on experience in design or statistics is valued but is not essential.
- Fluent in English required. All written and verbal communication with stakeholders and management will be conducted in English.
- The location for this role is Lagos but some travel to other parts of Nigeria can be expected.

Preferred Qualifications/skills:
- Ideally candidates should speak Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa.
- Interest in product development and connecting research findings with new product ideas.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills -- including ability to distill findings into concise insights and engage and excite stakeholders about research.
