i want to build up a site strictly for nigerian poets, but i need to have people having the same idea with a bit of web designing skills.

here is a poem from someone i know.


[center]Imper[b]fect Creation[/b][/center]
i was made by God,
the manifestation of his spoken word.
brought about from the eptiness of mud,
yet i am regarded above angels a "small god".

i could have been a mixture of saphire and gold,
one worthy prize never to be sold.
a beauty on display, much to behold,
one that would never die or even grow old.

yet it is his wish that i be made imperfect,
for he will be my mater, and i his subject.
taking away the mud and making me perfect,
for in me his beauty will completely reflect.

I think we have the same motives, i have been writting poems now for sometimes but i refused to allow its publication. i am hoping that some day maybe when my days are  old when by tomorrow i shall soar then i will compile those poems as my chronicles that my descendant shall see as My legacies. here is a short one from me

SOMETHING 'BOUT FEBRUARY
Something about February
It trails January, it’s special and unique
People say it is imperfect
And what comes out of it is
But I still cannot read it through the lines
And when it is half done, it is a unique day to share
To show how much care and affection you have
And then you look forward for another payday
Quicker than others! Who says February is not perfect
How can a day be more perfect?

LESSONS OF CL[/[/color]font]AY AND  SEA
When I was down when my strength cannot carry me,
I took comfort at the potter’s wheel,
I molded to my feelings i could change the shape
Of what I’m molding until i feel serenity within my mind.
               
And a walk downs the beach when again i was down
to take solace in the arms of the sea, its breeze, its noise
its cold , and warmth (which remained untapped).

I see something i could not forget, the lesson of lifetime;
Life is like a clay there are something that could and
Must be changed and then
Life is like the Sea the things that just must be and
Cannot be changed.
