The leadership of the Northern States Christian Elders Forum (NOSCEF), on Sunday, has cautioned the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, against recitations capable of endangering the peace and unity of the nation.

In a statement by the chairman and secretary, Bishop Isaac Philip and Rev. (Dr.) David Ibi, in Jalingo, Taraba State, the group decried the recent remarks credited to the monarch where he allegedly accused Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku and his Benue counterpart, Samuel Ortom, of training militias to confront the Fulani people in their states.

According to the forum, the comment was capable of pitching Nigerians along ethnic and religious divides.
