FARM MANAGER
Job Title: Farm Manager,
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Kuje-Abuja FCT

Perform Administrative/Managerial duties:
▪ Ensure the maintenance and repairs of farm building, machineries and equipment
▪ Buying supplies such as feed and medication for birds
▪ Source for market for products, e.g eggs, culled birds etc and market same
▪ Maintain and monitor the birds up to the point of lay and as they drop daily
▪ Understand the implications of weather and make contingency plan
▪ Ensure readiness of products for deadlines e.g festival period and markets
▪ Ensure government regulations concerning farm activities are complied with. And ensure that farm activities comply with government regulations
▪ Have knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat
▪ Ready to apply health and safety standard within the farm
▪ Keep financial records up to date
▪ Perform any other general task amongst others that may be assigned in the farm

Skills and abilities:
In-depth knowledge of agricultural practices as they relate to poultry production/management
Knowledge of modern livestock farming e.g poultry
Organization/Time management skills
Ability to work under pressure
Supervisory/ Management skills
Willingness to be outside in all weather and patience to undertake all sort of practical chores
Self-motivated and the ability to motivate others
Readiness to develop large-scale business awareness skills
Marketing skills
Negotiation skills
Genuine commitment to farming

QUALIFICATIONS:
B.Sc or equivalent in Agricultural Economics or Animal Science
Interested candidate should not be more than 32years of age
Must have positive attitude to life and rugged
Ready to make a career of farming and agric business
Desire to grow with this young farm
