Should Gender Equallity Be Encouraged? by Donsagacious(m): 4:24am On Apr 25, 2010 |
Yes, the women folk has to be granted equall rights with thier male counterparts. The situation especially, among third world nations is so pathetic. Where women are treated as sub-humans. Maybe, it's because thier husbands do pay bride-price to marry them, that makes them treat them that way. They feel they bought them with their money and so, can treat them the way they like. Humiliating them in any possible way, and battering them at the slightest provocation. Yet, nobody seems to care. Women have been impeded and overshadowed by thier male folks both politically, economically, and in every other aspects. But, I thank God for women like, Elyn Johnson of Liberia, Dora Akinyuli, and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala of Nigeria, Hillary Clinton of America and a lot more who are excelling in thier endeavours. Indeed, the time has come when we the men folks has to stand behind our women. Be they our wives, mothers, sisters, daughters nieces in- laws or friends. To give them the support that will enable them contribute thier quota to the betterment of our world. Donsagacious@hotmail.com |
