Dapchi Schoolgirls: Gaidam Blames Abduction On Withdrawal Of Military The Governor of Yobe State, Ibrahim Gaidam has blamed the abduction of the Dapchi schoolgirls on the withdrawal of security personnel from communities in the state. Addressing journalists on Saturday at the Yobe state Government House, he alleged that security check points were withdrawn from Dapchi and other communities, few days before the attack, a development which he believes gave room for the incident. “There was not any justification whatsoever to withdraw the military from that place, knowing fully well that there is a girls’ school there with about 900 of them and it’s a local government headquarters. “They withdrew the military personnel last week, which was not even known to us,” he said. Read Also: Yobe Attack: Parents Form Association, Demand Recuse Of ‘105 Schoolgirls’ This comes days after the state government claimed that some of the girls had been found, only to counter the statement later, as none had actually been rescued. The hopes of parents were dashed, even as they continue to demand the rescue of their children. As part of their efforts to drive home their demand, the parents formed an association through which they were able to ascertain that 105 girls were actually still missing. The students were said to have disappeared from their school, Government Girls Science and Technical College Dapchi, in Yobe state, after gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists invaded the school on Monday. Governor Gaidam has, however, promised that the government will stop at nothing to ensure the girls are rescued. He also noted that he had called the attention of the Theatre Commander who has promised to restore the presence of the military personnel to the state. https://www.channelstv.com/2018/02/24/dapchi-schoolgirls-gaidam-blames-abduction-withdrawal-military/amp/ 1 Like

Stupid leaders! Don't we have policemen in those states. Nothing like intelligence gathering again. 20 policemen are guarding the politicians while the citizens have no policeman to guide them. 17 Likes |

A full loaded chisco macopolo bus, take around 70 passengers if it's over loaded maybe 100, My question is this. What kind of truck did they use to take the girls with them? Dangote cement truck, or Dana plan? All these kidnapping of a thing is politically motivated by northern elite to archive their goals. I won't be surprised if they found the girls in 2 months time and use it to campaign ahead of next year election. And some zombies will hale them. God help the girls 46 Likes 1 Share |

Karma is indeed a bi*ch. APC mocked and turned the chibok tragedy into something to gain political mileage from. They milked it during the campaign beating their bony chests on how they would have done differently, with Buhari claiming that he would lead from the front if elected. Today they are faced with the exact same situation and just like everything APC, they have been an abysmal failure. My sympathy to parents of the abducted girls, some (if not most) must have trusted the lying APC with their votes. I pray your children return safely. Hopefully, lessons learnt and you will not repeat the mistake come 2019. 24 Likes 1 Share |

We are not sure of their health situation and some people are trading blames upandan. This is not the time for trading blames please. Just find the right and best way to bring out these innocent girls. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The withdrawal of security officers was deliberate! The Northern elites are in charge of Bokoharam/herdsmen - They have full knowledge of what's going on! I don't pity the North and Nigeria at large because we're our own enemies. 25 Likes 1 Share |

Is this not the same Boko Haram Buhari said he has defeated? They're still the one striking in full force... Honestly Buhari is a comedian and I've always known that Nothing good will never come out of his government.... Nigerians should let this sink into there heads... Brutai have finished the bullets killing unarmed IPOB youths during his snake dance. So he withdrew the soldiers for lack of bullets. This is one of the worst technical mistake of a Nation's military in an area prone to such scenarios. Am yet to understand why the Army wont have an equivalent of an FOB used by Navies (though none of Nigerian own works) in the North East? How can they withdraw to the extent they cant launch attack under 6 hours at worst. This has confirmed my worst fear that nepotism have eaten deep into our military cos the Nigerian Army i know could have defeated Boko Haram a long time ago after GEJ handed over. Because their guerilla tactics was almost defeated. I still dont get it.. Our Army cant protect us.. police protect only the rich.. why are they using our money to pay them? 4 Likes 1 Share
