A foremost humanitarian organization, Voice of Change Network International aka Voice of Divine Truth International Outreach is set to organize an Easter Free Food Kitchen to feed at least 10,000 poor people within Ikeja and its Environ. According to the group, the noble initiative is aimed at creating public awareness on the need for individuals and organizations to urgently rise up to the challenge of combating the menace of hunger in our society.
According to global statistics, Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth. The vast majority of the world's hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished.
Coming home to Nigeria, we have just overtaken Indian, from recent statistics, as the country that has the most poorest people in the world, with over 80 million people living on less than $1 a day. Many people in Nigeria go to bed hungry. It has become apparent that the government alone cannot solve of hunger. All hands need to be on deck to combat this social menace. Even the present Federal government that came to office with the promise of providing a meal a day to primary school pupils in Nigeria has not quite live to that promise.
Speaking at the media press briefing to unveil the forthcoming Easter Free Food Kitchen in Lagos, the International Coordinator of the group, Mr. Azemobor Gregory said, “Governmental policies and effort have not been very effective in solving the problem of hunger in our world( especially in Developing countries), and that means we need a new approach to combat this social menace.

What we are advocating as an organization is the “Love Approach” whereby individuals would get involved in the campaign to reduce global hunger, by making personal commitment to feed at least one person in a day”
Azemobor also called on corporate organizations, especially those manufacturing food products to support the forthcoming Easter Free Food Kitchen by donating the food item they produce.
The media was also enjoined by him to promote the message of this laudable initiative.
The Easter Free Food Kitchen is billed to hold on Saturday the 24th of March, 2018 at Ikeja,Lagos. Street Children, beggars, people living with disability, widows, orphans street hawkers and poor artisans are expected to be the special guest on that day
