How can You access the training?

• Interested individuals will start by obtaining a free form to be given at the NDE office
• Step Two, you’ll go to the job centre for assessment
• You will then be posted to the programme suitable and best fitted according to NDE programme schedule s
How Trainees can access cash and start Business
• Graduate trainees attracts a sum of N250,000 from NDE to start a business. Any person who passes through NDE will be given this money.
• Artisans attracts[b] N100,000 [/b] to start a business from NDE.

Strategies and Skills and Programme available:

• Vocational Skill Development
• Small Scale Enterprises
• Special Public Works
• Rural Employment Promotion:Agriculture, Agricultural training schools and the basic rudiments of agricultural practices such as livestock production, fish farming, crop processing, arable farming etc.

The training duration is from three months to three years.

If you are a Graduate, you are eligible for the training. You are also eligible even if you are not a graduate, so long you are a youth.

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) was established by the National Directorate of Employment Act1989. Its organs are the Director-general (sections 6 to , the Board (section 3), the National Advisory Council (section 4) and the State Advisory Committees (section 5). The objectives of the Directorate are to:Design and implement programmes to combat mass unemployment;
Articulate policies aimed at developing work programmes with labour intensive potential;
Obtain and maintain a data bank on employment and vacancies in the country with a view to acting as a clearing house to link job seekers with vacancies in collaboration with other government agencies; and
Implement any other policy as may be laid down, from time to time, by the Board.
Under the partnership with the National Directorate of Employment, successful graduates from training courses in the Institute under programmes such as the National Employment Training Scheme (NETS) are employed in the Oil and Gas, Telecommunications and Banking sectors of the economy.
