Competition is so rife these days that getting customers or clients is so difficult. However, there are a few things you can do to help you make the value of your products/services higher.

1. SELL BULK: Trust me…this trick increases the value of
whatever you’re offering in the minds of people.

I once advised my friend, who was making soap for
the removal of pimples, to sell bulk. What this simply
meant was that she needed to list out all the vitamins
in the soap and tell her target audience how much
they would have to spend alternatively to get it.

For example: The soap contains: apple, orange, aloe
vera, pawpaw etc, and it is sold for 1,000 naira
She would say something like this in her sales
message:

“…..however, if you want to clear your acne but you
decide not to get this soap, here is your alternative;
1. 50 apples
2. 70 oranges
3. 45 pawpaw
4. 32 aloe vera
5. Local African herbs
All these would cost you at least 25,000 naira.”

You see what just happened?

We have totally increased the value of the soap by
mentioning all the ingredients, and their prices as well

2. DISCUSS THE PRICE PAID TO DEVELOP THE PRODUCT:

Is this relevant to the consumer? Maybe not, but that
doesn't prevent you from making it relevant.

Still using my friend’s soap business as an example,
consider the two examples below

CASE 1:
This soap contains aloe vera, pawpaw, apple,
orange and will totally clear your pimples in one
week. It is a very good soap, and it will make your
face amazing again

CASE 2:
After getting together the pawpaw, apple, orange
and aloe vera, I went in serach of the local African
herbs to get the perfect ingredients. It took me well
over three months to find this herb in a bush in Osun
State.

Even after getting these African herbs, it took another
four months of mixing and testing to get the right mix,
to achieve the perfect solution for curing acne.

You can count on this soap to give you the perfect
face after clearing out your acne. With over seven
months of research and hundreds of thousands of
naira spent, you can be rest assured that you finally
have a soap that works.

Both cases describe the same soap, but case 2 builds
more value for the soap!
