Hello,

Kindly read this story as it will help you realize how the lives of some promising young graduates has been destroyed by Ajibola Bamidele.

Certification Edge which is owned by Ajibola Bamidele and has been into training since 2010 in Project Management but started Human Resource training in 2015. Then the company's name was changed from Tycoons Project to Certification Edge and now Re-Think HR.

Ajibola Bamidele cultivated the habit of recruiting candidates into the company whenever he's bored and wants to keep himself busy making them believe they will have a career in the company but at the end of the day lays them off without reasons.

For the past 3 years, Ajibola Bamidele has recruited nothing less than 200 candidates for various positions that never existed in the company just to keep himself busy and around people.

He recruits people and fires them based on his feelings and perceptions only during that period.

He sends adverts every month, interviews over 300 people every month including corpers and he creates departments that doesn’t exist in the company and make them think they are actually working for an organization.

When he gets tired of seeing the same faces everyday he comes up with a story that what they are doing is tactical and wants everyone to start taking more strategic roles of which does not exist in the company so he moves employees to Marketing and that’s why you see different faces of marketers every month visiting companies. He later lays them off after about 15days by saying they are not performing when in actual sense they were never recruited for sales.

He has continued with this habit from time to time and we the Certification Edge X-staff are saying enough is enough, he recruits new candidates with promising future and then lays them off after a month.

He also started recruiting female candidates and making them go to bed with him or they won't get the job.

He posted an advert and interviewed over 1,200 candidate for the position of Customer service officer, he picked just one person and sacked her after one month.

The saddest part about everything is that almost all the staff he laid off still find it difficult to get a job from companies Certification Edge (Ajibola Bamidele) has trained because the HR managers end up saying “I'm sorry I cannot employ you because I know Jibola”, We don't know if this is a practice of HR but as we write to you many of them are out of jobs now because somehow Ajibola Bamidele has said something about them.

Please we are all pleading and speaking to all the HR professionals to help put a stop to this poor system because we all are working to make Nigeria a better place and not help people like Ajibola Bamidele to destroy it.
He has a quack employee handbook (policy) that evolves around and favors only the VP strategy as he calls himself.

It says every minute lateness after 7:00am attracts a fine of 500naira per minute while on the other hand he makes people work overtime without pay, he brings tasks after 5pm and make his staff complete them for that day no matter the time, sometimes some of his staff end up going home 8pm to 9pm without overtime pay and when they come late the next day they will be debited 500naira per minute of which some of them end up paying about 7,000 to 10,000 naira everyday.

And what about staff leave, every staff must have spent one year in the company to be entitled to 5days leave which of course is not possible because he has never had any staff who stayed up to a year.

He once had 2 employees whom he called leaders of the company, they both stayed about one year in the company managing all his poor activities and tried to help him retain staff but it never worked and one of them who later took the highest HR certification soon gained a better job and resigned but the so called Ajibola Bamidele refused him to give his notice period of one month as stated in the employee handbook (Policy) and instead requested for a one month salary in lieu just to make the staff broke and of course the staff agreed because reference letter might be sent to him in the future and he will once again give a bad reference of him has he has always been doing.

And the other one, Ajibola Bamidele sent him a letter asking him to pay some money which he owed the company in one week time as opposed to the agreed date of 6months just to send him away thinking he will be giving out information about the company to the other LEADER who left knowing he won’t be able to pay, the staff pleaded but he refused and fired him by sending an email without notice.

And what about the policy of resignation with one month notice, he tells his staff to give one month notice of resignation as stated in the policy but he fires his staff without giving even one day notice, some of them receives their termination letter at midnight not to resume the following day while some receives just SMS.

And what about the company's drivers whom he has turned into personal drivers making them work every weekend by taking his family for outing and to church without extra pay as opposed to their employment contract which says they are to work for the company Mondays to Fridays.

And what about promotion letters he has sent to some staff in the company copying every member of staff and making them think he actually promotes his staff but at the end of the day the promotion is never effected and when he's confronted about it he gives flimsy excuses that the company is still working on it.

He calls himself an HR practitioner and a Business consultant, oh we feel so sorry for the companies he has consulted for in the name of growing their businesses. He claims to have PHRi, SPHRi and GPHR and even train HR professionals on how to manage employees but he sucks at managing his own employees.

He created a whole employee handbook that doesn't have either compensation or benefits, he doesn't pay tax, he doesn't pay leave allowance, he's not into pension or even health insurance. what kind of an HR practitioner is that?

He was reported to LIRS for non-remittance of tax since the inception of CERTIFICATION EDGE which used to be TYCOONS PROJECT and the only solution he could proffer to himself was to change the name again to RETHINK HR making people think its another organization recruiting for CERTIFICATION EDGE.

And what about the employees he has sexually harassed all in the name of giving them jobs and promotions, he hits the buttocks of his female staff and touches their breast making them think he’s just playing with them, he takes some of them to hotels and even their homes to entice them with money.

He asks female candidates on interview if they are virgins just for him to know where to start with them.

He has fired numerous staff on the basis of his wife (Doris Bamidele) not liking them. He goes crazy whenever a staff resigns on their own and he fires 2-3 staff anytime a staff resigns on their own.

Whenever you see him advertise vacancies using RETHINK HR or CERTIFIATION EDGE, it is not because there are vacant positions but because he his bored and wants to keep himself busy and see people around him.

He claims to have a company and there has never been a time he did staff appraisal.

On a final note, this whole story was compiled and put together by CERTIFICATION EDGE X-STAFF to make you HR professionals understand that Ajibola Bamidele has destroyed the lives and careers of promising young ladies and men and has also ensured that they don't get employed into some of the companies he has trained and has a relationship with, and if accidentally they get employed and reference letter is sent to him he puts in negative information to destroy their career and reputation.

Try to investigate and find out the real story whenever you get negative reference from Ajibola Bamidele or any other company about a staff.

An HR practitioner who has once worked for CERTIFICATION EDGE is a witness to some of these happenings as she was also recruited sometime in 2016 as an HR officer and we believe she’s also reading this story right now.
We have come together to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH to POOR EMPLOYEE RIGHTS and the mistreatment from EMPLOYERS like AJIBOLA BAMIDELE.

Thank you for taking out time to read this story.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT CERTIFICATION EDGE?
Certification Edge is Nigeria’s leading training and consulting firm and have partnered with world leading service providers and societies over the years to improve lives, build and sustain business systems.

We designed a recruitment policy which we have followed over the years to ensure the best applicants for various prospective jobs are recruited. This policy is called the ‘Fair Chance ‘policy. At Certification Edge, we believe that a CV cannot thoroughly capture the totality and competence of an applicant. Hence applicants are invited for a 5 minute pre- screening. The Pre- screening is targeted towards identifying the strengths and ability of the applicant and boost self- expression.

The role of the applicant is to ensure adequate preparation for the interview. It is important that applicants conduct themselves with a demeanor to convince the recruiter of his/ her ability. It is always advisable for applicants to know their individual strength and build a momentum around it. Recruitment is an exchange system therefore the company gives a job in exchange for a particular strength or value.
With a team of highly seasoned professionals, the results of screenings will be collated and selections will be made based on competency and performance. Our main goal is ensure that vacant roles are filled with people with the right passion, drive and commitment. The applicant with a blend of talent, dedication and hunger to be nothing but the best thrives in the selection process.
