Who is a biologist


A biologist , is a scientist who has specialized knowledge in
the field of biology , the scientific study of life .[2] Biologists
involved in fundamental research attempt to explore and
further explain the underlying mechanisms that govern the
functioning of living matter. Biologists involved in applied
research attempt to develop or improve more specific
processes and understanding, in fields such as medicine
and industry .

Then who is a medical laboratory scientists? A medical laboratory scientists is a healthcare professional who
performs chemical , hematological , immunologic ,
histopathological , cytopathological, microscopic , and
bacteriological diagnostic analyses on body fluids such as
blood , urine , sputum , stool , cerebrospinal fluid (CSF),
peritoneal fluid , pericardial fluid , and synovial fluid , as well
as other specimens.



Biology has many option like, zoology, botany , microbiology, and environmental biology. Biologist work in food industries e.t.c while Med lab scientist work mainly in the hospital.


A biologist is not licensed to work in the hospital , but can out research on body samples.


I believe you can deduce , between a hospital and industry, which one create more job opportunity in Nigeria environment.
