When big tournaments like the FIFA World Cup is fast approaching, football fans always have a lot to talk about. From the speculations of scaling through the group stage, down to that mouthwatering fixture that no-one should miss. But one factor is often a key issue – who makes the final list for the World Cup? Yes! That’s what everyone wants to know. Who will represent the country? And does the country stand any chance at the World Cup if this or that player makes it to the biggest football fiesta?

Overtime in Nigeria we’ve witnessed where coaches take idea out of the window to invite players that are unpopular with the fans. However, there has been some sort of stability in team selection under Coach Gernot Rohr. One can easily predict who will make the starting lineup.

For the fun of it we drafted some possible lineup the German tactician can employ as we gear towards the Russia 2018 World Cup

a. This attacking 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 has been used by Rohr often times. The key talk has been who starts in goal, Echiejine being pencil out as the weaklink and who should play behind the Centre Forward? Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho or even Oghenekaro Etebo?

b, The Wide - Attacking 4 - 3 - 3 has also been a tactics that Rohr experiment with. The squad looks good. But that Goalkeeper and Left Back department still has a question mark.

c, Ok, this is the other option. Pick two things, do we even have a formidable backup for the pair of William Troost-Ekong/Leon Balogun and does Junior Lokosa look good for Russia?
