Instagram has been getting lots of new features lately and report has been making rounds for quite sometime now that the social media giant is planning on adding a video calling option to the app for both iOS and android users.

A recent teardown of the Instagram APK file revealed a couple of new icons and files which hints at an upcoming video and voice call option. The files and icons have the names "voice call" and "video call" respectively. This reinforces report from January about an image of a video call button spotted by the WAbetainfo blog.



The video and voice calls features have been available on Instagram's biggest rival - Snapchat for quite sometime now so it makes sense that the Facebook owned app is finally implementing it considering the fact that Instagram has been in the habit of copying most of Snapchat's features for quite sometime now.
