Can anyone comment or confirm if it is correct that Lagos state Govt is about to enact a law that stipulates that no house owner should charge more than 6months rent in advance in the first instance and then afterwards monthly rent would be charge.
Was told the bill is presently at its final reading in the Lagos State House of Assembly.??

How can this be true and how feasible is this

Am aware such bill is in the works in Lagos House of Assembly. But they have been delaying the bill unnecessarily. The bill has been with the house for more than one year. It appears those pretenders called Lagos legislators are not actually interested in passing the bill. Its just annoying that such bill that will benefit the masses is being tossed up and down. Were it bill for political intriques or one that will benefit the legislators, it would have been passed within one month. I just think those lagos legislators are just deceiving the masses about the bill. The Governor is interested in getting the bill passed but the Legislators who are equally landlords do not want the bill to see the light of the day. PERIOD.
