Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that Former Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr Chidi Lloyd will still face prosecution for attempted murder. Addressing the people of Omuma Local Government Area before flagging of the construction of Umueze-Umuogba-Umuokpurukpu-Umueke- Umunju-Umuellechi-Eberi road in Omuma LGA, Governor Wike said Rivers State Government will prosecute Mr Lloyd under a different law. It will be recalled that the Former Majority Leader attempted to murder the a State Lawmaker, Mr Michael Chinda using the mace on the floor of Rivers State House of Assembly. He said: “Chidi Lloyd will be charged to court under a different law. He cannot escape justice”.
