Popular Nigerian movie actor, Kenneth Okonkwo has said that he will contest in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Enugu State, South East Nigeria. Okonkwo, made the declaration over the weekend during a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State. “I have found those beliefs compatible with my own. I, Dr. Kenneth Okonkwo, hereby present myself to be the gubernatorial candidate of this party,” the actor said. In advanced countries, citizens see actors as role models and as such they are voted for if they choose to contest elections. But here in Nigeria, things are way lot different. Being governor in home video is different from real life. Maybe bros should start from a small position first, to test the waters. |
