*The Demystification of Buhari*

Prior to May 2015, General Muhammadu Buhari was seen by many as the epitome of discipline, incorruptibility, and integrity.

Though this perception of him was largely without factual base, Nigerians wanted a hero and so Muhammadu Buhari was idolized and iconized as the anti-corruption Nigerian saint.

One thing about lies is that it cannot abide forever. From the inception of President Buhari's swearing in as Nigeria's democratically elected president, Buhari himself, and no other person, has been the one demystifying himself.

From his actions and inactions, President Buhari has slowly but surely dismantled the saintly and messianic persona woven around him.

One of the action or inaction that has buried President Buhari's no-nonsense image is the conduct of his son Yusuf Buhari.

From buying two BMW power bikes valued at N112 million total, to riding it recklessly and ending up in an accident, and finally to chartering a private jet from London to Abuja, Yusuf Buhari has shown himself to be a spoilt brat.

It is all over the news that Yusuf Buhari chattered a Bombardier Global Xpress Jet from Heathrow London to Abuja, but what most people do not know is that this unemployed son of Mr President chartered the aircraft at a whopping sum of £125,000 when he could easily have booked a BA (first class) one way ticket for the same route at approximately £1,750,00.

We all know that no incorruptible father will allow such behaviour but President Buhari allows it; even encouraging it by sending Nigeria's minister of State for Health Osagie Ehanire to go welcome him at the airport.

Imagine the insult of a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria going to welcome a wayward hip-star at the airport simply because he is the president's son!

Well, as we head towards 2019, Nigerians can obviously no longer be deceived by APC's lies that President Buhari is a man of principle. That lie is grounded and will never fly again again.

That lie is dead and buried by the president himself. His conducts has demystified him.

Axelrod and APC used lies and propaganda to repackage the man into what he wasn't, but they forgot that you cannot give what you do not have.

But you will agree with me that a lot of Nigerians were fooled by the lies and propaganda about him. Some persons even believed he had only N1 million in his account.
