Nigerian Singers signed under more than one music label

Some are actually label owners signed to another label

The Nigeria entertainment industry is one of the biggest and stronghold in Africa.


Nigerians are lover of music pushing the country from the local scene to the foreign scene.

Musicians like Fela Kuti, Orlando Owo, King Sunny Ade amongst others have impacted in the Nigeria brands of music.

It would be bad to deny that the Modern day singers have not better the Nigerian Music Industry.

Artistes like Wizkid, Davido, Asa etc are great asset that have taken the country’s music beyond Africa.


A host of Nigerian artistes are registered under different music labels.

Funny enough, there are artistes who are labels owners but also under another label.

There are some artistes registered under more than two labels.

Below is a list of Nigerian artiste under more than one label

1. Davido: Popular singer, David Adeleke also known as OBO is registered under two music labels.

He is also the owner of the two labels.

Davido is the owner of HKN ( Honourable Kings of New-School) which he created alongside his cousins.

He is also the owner of DMW (David Music WorldWide.)

OBO is registered under the two labels.

2. Wizkid: Ayo Ibrahim Balogun is ( if not) the biggest Nigerian new school artiste.

Ayo Balogun left EME music label owned by Banky W to form his own label Star Boy Inc.

Wizkid is however also registered under Disturbing London.

3. 9ice: This is one of Nigeria’s finest indigenous singers. His name is actually Alexander Ajifolajifaola.

9ice is the owner of Alapomeji Records and he recently signed under Temple Music.

His album “G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time)” was released under the label.

4. Reekado Banks: Ayoleyi Solomon is loved by Nigerian ladies.

Reekado Banks is signed to the Supreme Marvins Dynasty SMD music label owned by ace producer, Don Jazzy.

However, the young man is the owner of TOT Empire music label which is managed by his brother and himself.

Recently he signed Marv, a new artiste to his label.

Worthy of mention is Tiwatope Savage signed to Supreme Marvins Dynasty and Roc Nation.
