Nigerian Muslims demand an end to intimidation of muslim sisters by intolerant Christian fanatics who pick on muslim sisters at any given opportunity for no just cause.
These christian extremists who cannot bear to see sisters proudly in hijab want to intimidate them and discourage others from this style of dressing.

The Nigeria constitution, which is superior to every other law in the country guarantees freedom of dressing for all, is very clear on this issue.

Similar provocation from these intolerant fanatics led to litigations which were decided in favor of muslims.
These unnecessary provocations from intolerant christians are already on records.

Why did we as a nation enjoy dwelling on frivolous issues? It seems Muslims are so obsessed about religion that they can't define the constraints as regards secular issues. With due respect to the Muslim community, I can't remember when last Christian issues dominated the headlines on issues of little concern as this.

The earlier we as a nation stop giving relevance to things like this hijab issue, the better we will become. Time is of essence in our individual and national life. Hence, let's devote much of our time to restructuring our mindsets to conform to best approaches that will give a positive outlook of us to the world.

Thank u.

This is an issue of right to practice one's religion.

Why do you trivialise it?

Freedom of dressing - yes! But not when it comes to a group and their official modes of dressing. Dress codes MUST be kept sacrosanct!

What you are saying is actually not just smelling but a stench! Nobody sed she should not wear her hijab if she is going for a party or market or even mosque. But to go to court as a lawyer, my dear, the hijab is HARAM!

And this is the notion that has repeatedly been corrected in every court of law this matter has been argued, that u cannot on account of organisational code of dressing tamper with the headscarf for those who want to keep it. 4 court judgements ve been secured in this regard.
Even at that, the nigeria law sch dress code does not mention anywhere that the head must be without headscarf. It only says the head must be without the wig prior to being sworn in.

Which dirty 'justice' are you talking about? shocked Has anyone been unjust to Firdaus? When she registered to study law at the university, was she NOT aware that the hijab was not part of court dressing, or that it was NOT acceptable as formal attire worn to the bar, by lawyers? What is she now trying to prove after spending 5 years studying law at university level and even in law school? Why didn't she raise these issues by going to court, to change the status quo before she finished from law school?

If the Nigerian law guarantees freedom of dressing for all, then an adherent of traditional religion, who is also a practising lawyer, can as well wear his charm-encrusted outfit to court, as part of his brief to appear on behalf of a client.
U will be put to shame when that law, which happens to be nonexistent given that nobody has been able to site it, is overturned.
Nigerian laws must accommodate nigerian customs and traditions.

Point of correction. They are all Yoruba moslem pigs (inferior/second class moslems) who are trying so hard to impress their arab/hausa/fulani slave masters by their extremism but they don't know that they will foerever be regarded as the infidels and inferior pigs they are tagged with. That is why you will never see any hausa/fulani moslem pray in a mosque where an infidel yoropig/yorobastard is the imam. To butress my claim, can you identify any hausa/fulani in the midst of those dirty pigs protesting? Are you inferior yorobastard pigs more islamic than the likes of buhari whose daughter is a lawyer and didn't wear hijab when she was called to bar? Adurunwa bastards.
Sorry to disappoint u, if u understnd the spirit of Islam u will know nobdy is pleasing nobdy.
To disappoint u further, i just pray in a mosque everyday at the offc that is very frequented by hausas and a yoloba is the imam.

When people like you who are supposed to be educated, come online to say such dirty things it makes me wonder if you truly acquired that education, or you bought your certificate. You are the one saying smelling things that needs to talk to your own brain.

When did law school start in Nigeria? 1962. Since that 1962 till date, do you want to tell me that muslim women have not passed through the Nigerian law school? Do you know how many female muslim lawyers and judges exist in Nigeria? The former Chief Justice of Nigeria was a Muslim woman - Mariam Aloma Mukhtar was Nigeria's first female Chief Justice in 2012. Did you ever see her wearing a hijab under her wig and gown, in the law court?

Anybody that decides to study law, already knows what the uniform for lawyers looks like. So if you do not see lawyers wearing hijab, and you know it is not allowed, why not study another profession like teaching where it is allowed, if it is so important for you to wear your hijab?

Stop saying dirty things and go back to school to get an education, instead of insulting people who do not share your views. Only daft people like you do so, because they lack intelligence. In the legal profession, hijab is NOT allowed to be worn as a part of the approved outfit for lawyers, in court. Deal with it! Let Firdaus go and practice law in a Sharia court, if she wants to wear hijab! sad

I can now see something is wrong with you sir. If you speak to your brain if truly you are educated and mature like you proclaim you will see and understand that Nigeria is not the only country practising law, why is Hijab allowed in other country Law school even with less Muslim population. But the hatred you have on Islam will not allow you to say the truth. Are they not Nigerian? Is it not thier right to wear what they like or do any profession they like with their way of religion. I am so disappointed in you and some others who because of Islam hatred can not say the truth.

Why in this world would you guys like to claim superior to others?

A Saudi person will like to visit London or Germany all wrapped up...They will also like the person from London or Germany visiting them in Saudi to be wrapped up like them...

Can you see the point? Why not also allow others to have the same attitude as you.

Hijab isn't allowed in the law school. That is sacrosanct. Nothing can change it. No accommodation for religious zealots in the law profession in this country. It is not their right to dress anyhow anywhere the Nigerian constitution expressly forbids state religion. She's wasting time. She should take her matter to court.

Since their is a court injunction, it is right to stop the public hearing. If Akintola really want justice, he should seek redress in court rather making some contradictory statement capable of inciting other people.
