until a political party can afford to provide a candidate with the qualities as espoused by Plato. not necessarily a "philosopher king" but one vast in the books (education) and right at heart (just)... the next elections will certainly go down like all others before it.

If they are sincere about this, then it is a very good move. This is what we have been asking them to go back to over the years.

PDP brought in Donald Duke and other bright Nigerians to be voted into top Government positions while they were below 40 years of age. However, since then the party became only interested in old men, or just those younger ones who were willing to be proxies to the old men.

I hope they're sincere about this, but I'm not sure yet. Secondus is talking about serious-minded 25-year-old Nigerians to run for Governor, meanwhile, I don't think the Constitution even allows anybody to run for Governor at 25. Meaning that he has not paid any serious attention to what he's even saying. The minimum age at which Nigerians can contest for Governorship is 35. If the #NotTooYoungToRunBill is passed, the minimum age for Nigerians to run for Governoship would be 30. Secondus should know this if he is sincere about what he's saying.

Anyway, if the PDP really adopts this, and it serious about it, I'm willing to return to their fold, and revive my membership.
