Yes you are right. only anioma will form the new SE state,that's the areas known as Delta-igbo ( the 9 Lganof delta north, the remaining would still be called delta state)

But in developed countries and others, the public power supply is mostly constant and uninterrupted. So the govts tax those who install solar panels in order discourage or limit its use and people to switch and use the public power supply, which helps to generate revenue to the govt. for maintenance of the infrasctructure.

My bro,In advanced countries sef, the govtt does not tax people that switch to solar, they actually pay them back for the cost of solar installation. The govt is happy that you are switching to clean energy. In fact during Joe Biden era companies using solar energy were given huge tax cuts, people driving electric car pay way less insurance. The govt makes more money when you go off-the-grid because they can now export your energy quota

In advanced countries, solar installation gives you a tax rebate (i.e govt will calculate the cost of installation subtract it from the taxes you paid, then pay you back). Even people using Electric cars pay way lower insurance

The attacks on Okowa have been flooding in by people who are not even from Delta north and who naturally should not have any say or even an opinion on this issue .

So why are the Ibos all so invested in the Anioma project ?

Well, Okowa made a comment on how there are hidden plans to merge Anioma with Orlu state project and cede the capital from Asaba to Orlu in present Imo state.

Okowa did not reveal all these in detail but I recall one time how Ohanneze (which are somehow the main consultants on this Anioma project) once told Ned they will prefer Anioma is merged with the Orlu state project and that the future capital be moved from Asaba to Orlu in Imo state.

This is why Okowa made this statement below:

“An Asaba daughter fought for us and today we have Asaba as headquarters. Somebody who doesn’t even understand how it came suddenly wants to wish away that headquarters. It’s terrible. It’s unwise. Common sense should have told him that what he’s doing is wrong,” he stated.

Okowa knows that there are plans to have a new state capital for Anioma and it will not be in Anioma.

Okowa then concluded that Anioma must not only be restricted to the 9 LGAs that make up Delta north senatorial zone but that the proposed Anioma must remain in the SS!.

The above clearly shows that Okowa is aware of an underground plot to merge Anioma project with that of Orlu and then move the capital from Asaba to Orlu as well as zone Anioma to the SE.

If there ever was a grand land grabbing scheme this is it!

This is why they are all attacking Okowa for rejecting the foolishness that Ned is steering Anioma project towards.

Anioma people are Western igbo (just like you have Eastern igbos). They are the famous Ekumeku warriors that fought the British for 30 years. The British even acknowledged that they are igbo people. They have an identity and its an insult to call them Sout-south.

The people that migrated to Delta state are the itsekiris, benis, yorubas and ijaw. The igbos, uhrobos & isokos are indigenous to delta state. There are archival records that show that beni people ran from beni kingdom including their crowned prince after they lost a war to Ishang. In fact 700 years ago, benis migrated to delta state, and onitsha following the defeat of the beni kingdom. Its those people that want to claim land of igbos, uhrobos & isoko as SS or Beni. So when you see people like wike, okowa and others saying they are not igbo even though they speak and answer igbo names, it's true, they are migrants. However the land is not theirs they are settlers .
