Op never in your life mention fela and ojukwu in the same sentence. Ojukwu was a coward who fled nigeria in jumpsuit and indian hair after sacrificing millions of his brethren due to greed.

Some people like the OP can be very foolish. A region that gave 40% of its vote to GEJ. They did not vote overwhelmingly for Buhari and you keep blaming the Yorubas for Buhari's failure. If they voted in an 80% for Buhari you can then blame them. What of the 40% Yorubas that voted GEJ especially in Ondo and Ekiti.

That was in the past because of Chief Awolowo but as of present IGBo has taking over

It fact
Igbos are more educated than Yorubas in your dreams. What is your index for saying that, I am sure it based on the best state in WAEC. We have seen threads where all the best Lawyers and Senior Advocates in Nigeria are 80% Yorubas. Another thread stating people with the highest number of Journals and research work in Nigeria are 70% Yorubas. Best Universities in the country and ranked in Africa are all in the SW. So what is your indices for Igbos overtaking the great Yorubas.

I can attest to the fact igbos are taking Education seriously and are now coming up but remember the generation of Free education in the Western region are still very much with us. It was just about 50 years ago.

Read what you typed because you agreed that it was the Free Education given to past generation of the Yorubas by Awolowo.

And you also agree with me that the IGBOs are taking it serious, don't worry in sometime year to come which is not far from now. You will see the improvement if IGBOs.

I am not like Igbos who see the truth and shy away from it. It is true many Igbos are now taking education seriously but that is still at the secondary school level. At the higher institution level, Professorship and doctorate level Yorubas still lead the way.In the number of professionals in various fields. Medicine, Engineering, Law,Yorubas lead. Till when Igbos take over we can then discuss but for now it is not a subject of debate.

What facts, the only area we have heard Igbos taking over the Yorubas are in WAEC. Other indices are pointing to the Yorubas still leading so what facts are you yapping about. Igbos too have professionals but many are not based here in Nigeria.

We saw the thread with the people with the highest number of Journals here on Nairaland 70% Yorubas. We also saw the best Lawyers and SAN in Nigeria, 80% Yorubas. The two best universities on Global rankings from Nigeria is U.I am Convenant University. Highest number of Higher institutions in Nigeria SW leads with a huge gap. The only student to have ever graduated with a 5.00 CGPA is Yoruba from Unilag. So what other indices do you want?

Giving 60% to buhari from the region is like giving 95% to buhari from the South.

THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE ALLEGED MOST EDUCATED VOTES THE LIST EDUCATED.

President Muhammadu Buhari says many Nigerian youths just want to sit down and do nothing, banking on the notion that Nigerian is an oil-rich nation.

Speaking at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Westminster on Wednesday, the president said a lot of Nigerian youths have not been to school and they want everything free.

“About the economy, we have a very young population, our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. This is a very conservative one,” Buhari said.

“More than 60 percent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free.”

The President said he has done well on the three cardinal points of his campaign, including economy and security.

“Recently, my minister for information was constrained to answer a question on people accusing this administration of doing nothing, he said ‘let Nigerians be reminded what position we were before May 2015, what condition we are now, and what we have achieved between then and now and I think people were impressed with the answer.

“For security, we have done quite well. Economy, we are doing very well, especially with agriculture; we are providing soft loans, and guarantee is that you have to belong to a certain locality and you have got land, you don’t have to go to the bank and need a physical collateral. I think a lot is being done.”

The president is expected to meet with business leaders and other heads of state as the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting progress through the week.

The best gift the youths can give this country is mobilize and send this APC propagandists and liars packing. All they do is insult the sensibilities of the people at every opportunity.

Just like in another thread where Buhari just stood before the Commonwealth Heads of Government to say that Nigerian youths are lazy. I really can't get over that.

I may not have been around the world to compare with other nations, but most Nigerian youths are very resourceful and industrious. They struggle against all odds in a country that has very little to offer them. Yet someone who can not be said to be as good as the average Nigerian youth badmouths an entire populace.

It's just sad.

I wonder how the political decision of a region affects you. This is democracy where everyone has the liberty to exercise their franchise in whatsoever way they so desire. Trying to blackmail SWterners into following your gullibility in droves calls to question the republican igbo nature in you. Let it be known to you and your ilks that their was never (and their will never be an agreement) between Yorubas and igbos to follow the same route. Our past, fate, future, strategy and ambition are quite different, distinct and unique. weren't even neighbors. Igbos were probably the last tribe the Yorubas came in contact with prior to almagamation.

Yorubas are the only tribe that has shown logic in their voting pattern...fact. That's the reason why the sw vote is always fluid and the major determinant of national election. We have no "blind" friend or foe. We vote base on what suits our future and collective interest.
2019 will reflect this and no amount of propaganda, blackmail or reverse psychology can stop it. Everyone knows we are masters of the above.
Only superior arguments, alignment, manifestos and precedent/ antecedent wins election over here.
We're not anywhere belle face like people up north and those across the Niger.

That mysterious logic remains a mystery after the most educated and sophisticated voted and old less educated man that has repeated double of all the reasons they voted against a southerner.

The subsidy they protested about increased, fuel, unemployment etc. That logic is rather senseless.

The same leader would hail the tormentors of a yoruba son and still honor him. Like a slave master beating the slave and praising him.

Superior argument is that an old man with little or no education, without track record of business or administration , who has never distinguished himself in any field will lead the entire sophisticated and educated race to the promise land.

The restructuring that was the first in the manifesto was thrown in the thrash and you still talking of superior argument?

So superior argument you voted for was that fuel will sell higher under buhari or that unemployment will increase? Is that the argument that got your votes?

I wonder then if it is truly sophistication, ignorance, hypocrisy or cowardice.

You talk about voting against a southerner when history has shown that igbos has always been the errand boys of the north. The opposition status of the west prior to 2015 was visible to the blind and audible to the deaf while igbos has always been known as AGIP (any government in power). It was on record that igbos were the biggest supporters of Abacha (they even organized a million March in solidarity of his government) while even the chief imam of Kano (Abachas hometown) had reservations conducting Abachas's funeral calling him al-shaitan (Satan). Your master-slave analogy only appeal to failed students of history. You guys change your narratives to suit your lame arguments.
Even at that, voting a corrupt drunken master in the name of southern alliance is myopic. Obasanjo who was even a fellow Yoruba wasn't spared the rod.
At least Yorubas are reaping their support for buhari in form of projects and representation. can that be said of your blind support for GEJ? Tell me one project that Gej gave you guys? Nothing!!!

BTW a General is an equivalent of a professor in the military field, people goes to NDA to study Economics, Mechanical engineering, Administration etc like (if not better) every other conventional tertiary institutions, so calling buhari illetrate only shows your level of illetracy. ( mind you I'm no buhari fan).

That you have taken all the time to write and compile the sources attests to the level of bitterness and pain you habour for the Yoruba nation.

I can't just stop laughing after reading you lame write up.

Now it's the Yoruba that made a mistake voting Buhari and not the 5 percenters?

We made the right choice voting Buhari and we will still do so in 2019. We've never had it so good. Obj and Goodluck marginalised the SW. You only need to look around to see that the current government favours SW. Not only are our kinsmen occupying enviable positions in the current government, there are countless FG projects going on in the region.

2019 and beyond can only get better for the Yorubas and then you pains will only just begin.
